Reliant Energy - Need emergency order for new service

I called reliant 022724 to start new service for the trailer we bought from an individual. The trailer stayed in the same place.

It had been there for 5 years. The previous owner had service through a different provider and he requested they stop billing on 2-29. So today about 9:45am my service went off. I called Centerpoint and they referred Me back to reliant.

They said since service was stopped I would need a permit from the city of Pearland and I can call reliant and explain I need an emergency order to get service on. I called Reliant and they said I have to have the permit for service which is required from city of Pearland. I called the city to get the permit and they said a master electrician would have to pull the permit because Centerpoint requires one not the city. By this time Im crying and asking for service to be turned on since only the person paying is me and Ill get whatever is needed.

Im 72 my husband is 75 and hes a partially disabled Vietnam Vet. Ive explained all of this to everyone I talked to. No luck. I called the person we bought the trailer from and he got his provider to turn his service back on.

I called reliant before the former tenant called for his service to stop I have email from reliant thanking me for being a reliant customer. I dont understand what I did wrong. If I was told on the 27th I needed a permit I would have gladly gotten one so I would have uninterrupted service. Im very pissed and will not recommend reliant to anyone.

I was very happy after placing my order on the 27th. I sent them a copy of my id and they were happy. Now today I no longer have service. I was given conflicting answers as to what had to be done.

You shouldnt treat anyone like this especially a senior citizen. Heartless and uncaring.

Service

I was offered nine cent kilowatt with Direct energy I got the dates for the deposit mixed up and I missed it and service was terminated. I have no electricity no water Im 58 years old in with the disability. I spoke to the city and he said I had to call Reliant service and they shouldnt deny me service in this cold weather. Im asking for some help. Ive not worked since July Because of a truck accident

Need device,I’m a elderly,disabled,& it’s very cold in my house

I forgot about the deposit With direct energy and they cut my electricity off. I havent worked since July because I was in the truck accident and havent been able to work. My attorney said not to work and go to my doctors appointments until this is resolved but now Im in the dark no Water I need help the city of Taylor say to call and electric company and they cannot deny service because of the cold.

Employee changed my electric company to Reliant without my permission

I spoke to an employee of Reliant and he said he needed my name address zip code and drivers license to tell me if I needed to give a deposit. I also was told that he was going to send me some information about the plans but I didn't want 24 months contract so I said I would talk it over and get back with him.I was going through emails and noticed an email informing me that I was enrolled with Reliant My contract ends with my company in about 75 days and I was comparing electric company plans. I will complete my plan contract and then decide

I was switched from my Company to reliant without my permission

I talked to a representative of Reliant and he told me he need my address, driver's license, and zip code to check if I would need a deposit and he sent me some information on contact for 24 months contract. I told him I was going to discuss this offer and get back with him because I don't think I want a 24 month contract. I was switched from my Company to Reliant with out my permission, I c a ll and asked them to stop my order to switch on Dec 17, 2023 the switch date was Jan 2, 2024. I am 60 days from completing my contract with my electric company and wouldn't change!

Resolved: Got my paperwork turned in. I sent me up for a date that they don’t work on. Never contacted me to let me know if I was going to get my service.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. My turn on date was confused.

I was not notified that the issue was resolved. Kept calling, kept getting the runaround your automated system does not work well at all.

Reliant never called me to let me know that my service would be turned on. They scheduled me for a date on the weekends which they do not work on the weekend. My date was on a Friday and I have not been contacted by Reliant at all to give me any kind of information.

Called phone number listed as pissed off. When phone answered, no one to take complaint. Transferred my call around. After five minutes on hold, mplaints

Tried calling number listed as "pissed off" then I was transferred from place to place. Hung up after nine minutes.

No one acted like they knew why I was talking to them. Then put on hold for five minutes..

I'm considered as a valued customer. LIAR!!!

If I'm so valued, why do you want to play games with me. Customer of seventeen years.

You charge me your highest rate because I don't want to play your games. Sign up for a foolish contract. I'm looking for another company because I AM NOT TREATED AS A VALUED CUSTOMER. Charging me highest rates.

Tl,told to get better rates, I have to sign contract for three years. After being valued customer for seventeen years I am 76 years old and think this is a rip off. If I wanted to change companies, I would have done so. Apparently that's what reliant energy wants me to do. Find another energy provider.

Electricity cut off

Someone cut off my service from reliant. It was stressful and inconvenient. Although the rep quickly restored my service it should have never happened in the 1st place.

We recently bought a trailer on Lake Corpus Christi and the seller said they were using Reliance so I called to have the electric put in my name and they said they did not service this area. So I call

Manager and he said he had two residents in the park and used reliance so I called back. Nope , I was told again they did not service the area. Very frustrating!!!
